Set of 3 Burgess Leigh Teheran Hand Colored Transferware 7 3/4 Plates C. 1860s
Set of 3 ironstone dessert plates. Decorated in the black transfer Teheran pattern with hand colored highlights in pink, blue, red, green, and yellow. With red along the edge. Marked on the reverse Teheran BL & Co. This mark was used by Burgess Leigh & Co starting in 1862.
These have crazing typical of ironstone, usage wear consistent with age, staining of the type that may soak out, and some wear to the enamel along the edge. One has a small flake along the edge, but otherwise good condition with no additional chips or cracks.
Each plate measures approximately 7 3/4 inches wide.
These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
